Hilary Irene

Hi there!

My name is Hilary. I am a photographer.

​

I have a BFA in Photography from Columbia College Chicago. In a former life I packed my bags after college and moved to NYC with no job lined up! By the time I left, I had the experience of working full time for a big PR company as a staff photographer, managing a few high volume children and family studios and a staff of up to twenty photographers and running my own small business on the side. I had the honor of photographing celebrities such as Jennifer Lopez, Martin Scorsese, Robert DiNero, Hillary Clinton, Denzel Washington, Tim Gunn and Beyonce to name a few! Two of my biggest clients were Director's Guild of America and Tribeca Films where I had the exciting job of photographing actors and directors and getting to see a lot of amazing film screenings and go to some fun parties! I picked up some skills on the way such as learning how to conduct a photo shoot in Yiddish and Spanish. My favorite part of photography is meeting people, and being exposed to different worlds that I would never have gotten to see at a regular job! I've met some really interesting people and made a lot of friends on the way.

I now live in Lake County with my husband and my five children. I run my own small business specializing in natural, documentary photography. I photograph weddings, events, families and children. I chase beautiful lighting, and locations and seek out natural beautiful expressions and moments that people can treasure for a lifetime. My favorite thing to do is put on a long lens and walk around capturing interactions, expressions and moments that people weren't even aware I was catching.
